We are pleased to welcome visitors again with some restrictions in accordance with the Industry Code for Visiting Residential Aged Care Homes During COVID-19 and Dept of Health and Human Services Victoria directions, Visiting Care Facilities Covid-19.
10am -12pm and 1pm - 4pm Mon to Fri.
1pm - 4pm Saturday and Sunday.
This enables our staff to conduct visitor screening including temperature checks.
We ask that visits are booked through reception before 5pm on the Friday prior if possible.
There continues to be no restrictions placed on family visits for compassionate, end of life support for palliative care residents.
If you require a visit outside of the visiting times please contact reception so we can arrange facility access after hours.
A few reminders:
We need proof of influenza vaccinations for all visitors.
We encourage shorter visits of 30 mins although longer visits of up to 2 hours can be arranged if essential.
Residents can have up to 2 support visits each day with a maximum of 2 visitors for up to a total of 2 hours per day. This can be a single visit or 2 separate visits.
Visitors must remain in the residents room and not access communal areas.
Visitors are asked to maintain social distance of 1.5m from both residents and staff.
Residents can leave the facility for medical appointments with family members, but not for social visits at this stage.
Visitors will not be permitted entry if they:
are unwell with cold/flu like symptoms, such as cough, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath, or temperature higher than 37.4 degrees.
have know contact in the last 14 days with a person who was a confirmed case of coronavirus (COVID-19)
Children under the age of 16.
We are implementing our COVID-19 management plan and are well prepared. Restrictions continue for our social visitors, such as volunteers, school groups and entertainers at this time.
Our staff remain more than happy to assist with extra phone calls, facetime and our "Welcome Windows" to keep everyone connected. The residents are enjoying socially distanced in house activities and some wonderful 'virtual' ones.
