Patron - Jane Evelyn Lacey

Jane Evelyn LaceyJane was born in Melbourne. She is married to Raymond Lacey a past Board Member of RM Begg. Jane has a Bachelor of Arts degree & graduated from Melbourne University in 1970. Worked at the Baillieu Library Melbourne University and at Coburg Technical School. Jane was Executive Chairman of Specialised Vibrated Concrete Company Pty Ltd, a manufacturing & importing company in Braeside, Victoria.

She also facilitated a women's cooking group in Kyneton for 6 years, aimed at improving their social integration, budgeting and cooking skills. Jane has been a volunteer pastoral care worker at Peter McCallum Cancer Hospital for 5 years.

Associated with Kyneton since 1964. My father Max Finlason purchased Rock House property in 1964 and we settled here in the early seventies. Our children attended Kyneton Primary School and we now divide our time between Kyneton & Melbourne.

My connection to RM Begg has been over many years, but it was when my father Max Finlason was a resident at the Hostel for many years until he died in 2003, that my appreciation and understanding of it's great community value for aged care in Kyneton and the Macedon Ranges Shire became clear.
